Materials for COMP3204 Part I 2021-22
Welcome to the homepage for the first half of COMP3204.
Here is a list of materials available to you to complement the lectures in this half of the course. We are now using the 4th Edition of the course textbook which was published by Mark S. Nixon and Alberto S. Aguado late 2019; 3rd Edition is available - library link. There have been many changes: the lecture notes are from the new edition. We have highlighted a proof version of the book showing material covered in lectures Highlighted proof of book (PDF) (not highlighted = supplementary to the lectures), and the page numbers refer to that. We have highlighted the whole of Chapter 1, as it is background material for the whole course. There is also demonstration material which is largely derived from the book’s website link. It’s not pretty and is not aimed to be: it’s just working software.
